Panda receives no money from the manufacturers that appear in our catalogs. Instead, over 40 of these manufacturers have agreed to reimburse qualified participating distributors for every catalog page on which their products appear. This can add up to a significant sum. In fact, the total reimbursement to a single distributor from all of the manufacturers in the Co-Op Program can be so high that it may pay for most of the cost of a catalog. Panda's beautiful, four-color safety catalogs are a tremendous value. But with the manufacturers defraying such a large portion of the distributor's cost, our catalog program becomes an even bigger bargain.
Here's What Two of Our Clients Have to Say About Panda Co-op
"Panda's Manufacturer Co-Op Program paid for 73% of the total cost of producing our catalog!" Ed Brock, Jorgensen & Company
"Panda Communications' Safety Catalog Program offered us tremendous cost and time savings while enabling us to produce a high-quality four-color catalog on par with our largest competitors." Dave Grauer, Pendergast Safety Equipment Company
How It Works.
Pre Co-Op Notification:
Panda sends pre co-op notification to ALL of the vendors that appear in the catalog program you are participating in, regardless of whether or not you are an authorized distributor. Additionally, Panda completes any necessary pre co-op notification forms that are required by vendors.
Final Co-Op Requests:
Panda requests co-op at the completion of the project as a free service to our customers. We have developed a program to efficiently perform this service.
Customized invoices are generated from Panda's Content Management System based on the number of Product Groups in the catalog. (Each Product Group consists of a headline, logo, image, text and line items associated to a specific product or grouping of similar products.) Invoices/requests are sent to the vendors in the catalog via email on the behalf of you, the distributor. You receive copies of the requests/invoices as they are copied on the emails sent to the vendors.
Panda does NOT guarantee that requests will be read by the vendor or that the vendor's email does not filter out our request due to it mistakenly being labeled as spam. It is the distributor's responsibility to follow up on all requests.
Recommended Cost Per Page:
Panda submits co-op based on $50.00 per page for every 500 catalog copies ordered, unless the distributor requests otherwise. Additional advertising dollars will be requested for ads or logos shown on the cover.
Panda only recommends the above cost per page. This amount is based on costs for printing, labor, content and advertising.
If a distributor wants Panda to request a different cost per page, the distributor is responsible for the valuing of the page cost to the vendor. Panda needs to be notified prior to the completion of the project if a distributor wants to specify their own cost per page.
All Co-Op Invoices Include:
- Your specific distributor logo and company contact information.
- An itemized listing of all products in the catalog, the percentage of the catalog page occupied by each product group, and a final co-op request amount.
- Vendor contact information showing where the initial request was sent.
Panda's Commitment to our Customers:
Panda provides you with all of the co-op invoices, which allows for easy follow-up with vendors. Also, copies of the invoices are available online to download should additional or replacement copies be needed. Panda is here to make the process as easy for you as it can be. |
